It’s summer and the heat is on! Why not cool down with some beautiful, botanical cocktails? I purchased a book months ago called The Cocktail Garden. It is illustrated beautifully by Adriana Picker and the recipes are done by Ed Loveday. I’m not a big drinker, but when I do go out I love a great cocktail and the prettier they are, the better!

After visiting a restaurant in California that served spiked lavender lemonade I was obsessed with how the pretty little lavender flowers floated around in my drink like ballet dancers on a stage. The flavor was smooth and delicate. It had all the refreshing qualities of classic lemonade with the ominous but important flavor of the lavender flower.

The Cocktail Garden offers a list of things you will need to create your drinks like what tools like shakers and syrups to purchase. More importantly a beautiful catalog of cocktail recipes that will go with any meal or event that you may have this summer!

Here are a few drinks and links to recipes similar to the ones I love from The Cocktail Garden (link to book tagged in name ) that I thought were perfect to set off the summer vibe! Be sure to check out the Cocktail garden and links below for even more cocktail recipes!

Lavender Lemonade Cocktail

Lavender lemonade cocktails are undoubtedly my favorite cocktails ever! With all the refreshing flavors and feels of nonalcoholic lemonade this drink is perfect for slow sipping on a hot summer day, a nice event, or brunch. The drink is physically charming and naturally eye-catching with beautiful lavender flowers adding to its calming flavor.

2.Sangria (White & Red)

With the combination of sweet fruits and great wine, sangria is the perfect summer drink! One other thing that makes sangria great is the option to include whichever kind of wine you like better! White or red. You can even customize the fruits that you use to make this delicious drink!

Honey lovers, this one’s for you. This is a very simple cocktail that is filled with complimentary flavors like honey and lime.
